First foodie blurb: Superfood Sunday

With a unique taste, it may be hard to love. But HOW can you not love it? It has too many benefits to even count, vitamin filled, high in antioxidants, boost immune system, boosts memory and concentration, its basically the super man (or woman) of all superfoods ever. It comes in a powder, or sometimes seen in supplements. In Asian countries it is much more popular, however in the US it is beginning to become more popular. You can find it in the green drink at Starbucks, in most restaurants, grocery store, and in latte form at those most adorable coffee shops everyone in town loves. What is it?? MATCHA
I thought it would only be fair if the first ever superfood Sunday was my all time favorite superfood ever. The color may be deceiving, but it can also be so fun. Who doesn't look a earthy latte, or delicious pancakes. I encourage you the next time you see "matcha latte" give it a try!!! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? MATCHA stronger (there are also countless puns #bonus) I will admit it can be pricy, but in most lattes or smoothies you use such a small amount it can last forever. If you don't feel like dropping a most likely ridiculous amount on a drink you may hate, I hope you don't. You can always try it at home first. With three simple ingredients you can make your own matcha latte!! (Recipe below)
To all my coffee lover out there (including myself), it has even more caffeine! Yes, we all love a fabulous cup of joe, I know I do too. But who's to say you can't mix it up once in a while? Try something new, not for me, but for a better you!! (a MATCHA better you)

MY FAV MATCHA LATTE RECIPE:
1 cup of hot water
1/4 cup of almond milk
1 tsp of matcha powder
1 tbsp of honey (more or less, depending on how sweet you want)
Mix it all together and enjoy!!!!
